The SVL Source

Welcome to the SVL Source. The SVL Source is a client-only Credit Union portal. We designed this Portal to provide our Credit Union clients with added value by giving them access to training videos, training material, and other helpful information. Additionally, there is a Discussion Board that will allow our clients to exchange ideas. This information is intended solely for existing Credit Union clients of SVL. We ask that you never share your login credentials with anyone outside your organization. Furthermore, we ask that you do not share the training information or documents provided herein with anyone outside your organization. By using the SVL Source and accessing the information contained herein, you agree to our terms of services, a full copy of which can be found below.

From time to time, we will be adding new resources. We believe that the SVL Source will be a helpful resource to you and your team.

Video Area

We have compiled several videos that can be used for training of Credit Union staff. As with any training video, these are meant to provide general information about the law and not to be a substitute for individual, case-specific legal advice. We suggest you use these for training your staff but not use them as a substitute for seeking appropriate legal advice about a specific matter.

Documents

The documents assembled here include educational material, forms, sample procedures, and other useful information. We plan to continue to add to the document library overtime.

Discussion Board

We have designed a Discussion Board for our Credit Union clients to ask general questions of each other. Often, we have clients ask us how other clients handle a particular issue – whether it be partial charge-offs or payments by phone. Other times, clients will be looking for a recommendation on collection software or a new repossession vendor. We hope that this Discussion Board can be used to facilitate such discussions. Answers given by lawyers of SVL are meant for general information and are not a substitute for individual, legal advice. Communications on the Discussion Board are not protected attorney-client communication, so do not use it to disclose confidential information.

Terms and Conditions for Use of SVL Source Portal

The SVL Source Portal is for existing Credit Union clients of the law firm with an active, ongoing scope of engagement. If a client terminates its scope of engagement or fails to renew a scope of engagement, access to the SVL Source Portal will be terminated.

By using the SVL Source Portal, clients agree not share their login credentials with anyone outside the organization. If an employee with access to the SVL Source Portal leaves your organization, you agree to change your password to protect entry to the Portal or notify us so we can issue new credentials. You also agree not to share any of the material on the SVL Source Portal with anyone outside your Credit Union. While there are documents and resources that can be downloaded, the documents are meant to be used by our existing clients and not shared with others outside your Credit Union.

The Discussion Board exists to promote collaboration and information sharing among our clients. By using the SVL Source Portal and Discussion Board, you understand that the communications on the Discussion Board are not attorney-client protected communications and therefore could be discoverable in a lawsuit. In using the Discussion Board, you agree not to engage in any communications that are sexist, racist, discriminatory, hostile, or offensive in nature. The Discussion Board is not a place for soliciting employees or denigrating another Credit Union.

Failure to abide by these terms and conditions will result in termination of your access to the SVL Source Portal. We reserve the rights to terminate access at any time, and we reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions.
